Pattern Clashing and a Pomeranian

I'm a Brit girl at heart with occasional dream of New York or Paris, but this i love:

Fashion Maniac ADR working every surface like its an uber glam catwalk..... Check sequins, check stars, check snakeskin.....

The clashtastic print fest that went down in Milano's scorching streets

A little sugary twenties-esque surprise from the runway

From a sea of blue and green (sorry, teal), sheer layers and sporty crop tops, clashing neon florals, sugared pastel colours, statements heels, loud clutch bags, Virginal white dresses and oversized clutch bags, by way of statement coats and flapper dresses.... Milano, Bellissimo!

and also.....

Don't Steal the Jacket- A Film by Bruce Weber. A 24 Minute Fairytale for Moncler about a little girl, a tiny pomeranian and a Moncler jacket. Bliss!

Eye Candy

Cheeky bit more from LWF which I'm still ridiculously longing to be at, yet trying to be cool in bed rocking a CHOOSE LIFE tshirt.... hmm.

Topshop UNIQUE takes a trip up the Nile with the Fresh Prince. A super luxe safari meets Dynasty in 90's NYC. I'm in love with the eclectic referencing throughout the collection, the homage to many design greats (check Versace, Dior and even Mary Katranzou), and Charlotte Free's bubblegum pink hair being covered in gold foiling! If in doubt, just wear gold!

shop the collection for Fall 2011 here: Topshop UNIQUE for the chicest of 1930's Americana

Like some some sort of Alien fantasy Mary Katranzou's models came gliding down the runway. Part ridged structure, part ethereal creatures, all over pattern clashing silk. Reminiscent of McQueen in '10 but with a much more wearable femininity, Katranzou fuses intricate pattern crafting and construction with dreamy prints and swathes of chiffon. These are dresses oozing with ladylike attitude. Architectural references are rife; specifically Art Deco and even modern Architect Frank Gehry's deconstructive approach.

You Drive Me Crazy

.....Christopher Bailey!

Today i spent the afternoon in bed, my first glorious day off in a long time, splitting my time between Grazia's High Street Drop issue (love!) and watching the Burberry Prorsum show from yesterday at LFW.

I think its a really great touch from the Burberry team that it was streamed live on YouTube, and on Facebook with a series of seriously beautiful Instagram shots! I may be resigned to the dreary North for the moment, but at least I'm feeling a little closer to paradise.

This is by far my favourite collection from LFW so far, everything about it i loved, right down to the soundtrack! Pale milky limbs, oversize wedges and perfectly hemmed Midi skirts, draped over with super structural jackets and brighton rock colours. Colour me green, if you please!

Ugly Hats.... I like When I'm on TV....

Mr Lagerfeld, don't even try to deny it!

Taken from Grazia Daily this is an article from the one and only Mr Chanel.
Being cruel to be kind perhaps, this article actually made me laugh out loud.... and um, er, check the length of my skirt.

Here he aires his opinions on the Royal Wedding outfits:

'But this was not a collection, this was the choices of this kind of woman for this kind of ceremony: the bad proportions, the ugly hats, the short skirts on fat legs.'

With LFW hot on everyones Louboutin clad heels, lets hope British Women aren't all on the receiving end of his barbed tongue!!

In the mean time, Oh Karl, What are you like eh?

Skinny (Tux) Love

Up North its getting cold, and with that, I'm saying goodbye to summer dresses for good! Autumns Androgyny is growing on me fast. I love how uber luxe it is yet so fuss free.... This is power dressing for the modern girl, saying Goodbye to shoulder pads in favour of sequinned lapels and court shoes for patent colour pop Brogues.

Dolce & Gabbana have put quite a showstopper together for A/W12, as demonstrated by both Evan Rachel Wood and Beyonce. Ladies: represent!

D&G A/W12
Dolce&Gabbana for the full collection. Dazed Digital for their opinions. Now, where did i put that trilby....

A Little Less 14 days

In the past 12 days some major fash pack events have taken place and I've gone by without a single post so i think its about time. Currently I'm full of cold and a case of overworked and underpaid, hence the lack of attention. While everyone has been raving glory about FNO I've taken to my bed and painted my nails endless colours and glitters to try cheer myself up..... Now I'm up, about and playing catch up!

Whilst I haven't taken to my Mac i have been relentlessly tweeting (maybe a new obsession) follow me here

Back to School

OBJECT OF LUST! If its possible i have found myself with a mega crush.... on a pencil case. Beautiful soft leather it may be, but seriously, probably a distraction technique.

Because, i am going back to school. Well i've applied for Prospectus' for 2012 entry; knowing that its been something I've wanted to do for so long, and finally having the guts to get back on the horse after my experiences at Leeds Art is a huge deal for me.

While I'm beyond excited at the idea of going and finally studying what i love and gaining all these fabulous experiences but I'm also terrified. What if it isn't what i expect or what i want? But life is what you make it and after a 2 year gap, i know not to let history repeat itself. So, with that said, I'm starting over; a fresh page, a fresh sketch book, and a fresh pencil case.... (well hopefully if Manfriend is feeling generous!)

Pens & Pencils Pencil case £85
This little leather beauty is by Anya Hindmarch at Matches and if anything is going to get the creative juices flowing this will!I love how old school is with the classic type face and simple design, and being leather it'll wear in beautifully as it ages too, now if only there was a matching makeup case *sigh*

Back to Mac

Cheesy title i know, but I'm continuing on a theme here.... To celebrate the Manfriend buying a MacBook Pro, I've been having a cheeky look at all the lovely things i could carry it around in. If I'm lucky enough that he lets me borrow it, that is. And it can double as a really snazzy clutch, win!

These are my Favourites:
MICHAEL Michael Kors
Perfectly simple and perfectly stylish case! Real leather Snakeskin effect from Michael Kors £105 at Net-A-Porter

DIANE Diane Von Furstenberg
Quirky matching cases for your iPad £112 and your iPhone £44, whats a girl not to love? Classy but fun animal print by Diane Von Furstenberg at Matches. Adoring the Tobacco colour for its 70s vibe and chic tassel zipper.

For cases from Marc Jacobs, D&G, Burberry, Valentino, Mulberry and more check out:
and for the more Tech savvy Apple Store for some Paul Smith Gems including a playful Air Mail envelope.

Like that shiny new pencil case, it almost makes me want to go back to school! speaking of which...
